Dr. Miranda began her academic journey at St. Bonaventure University before transferring to Syracuse University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science in 2019.
During her time at both universities, she played collegiate basketball, eventually taking her talents overseas to Chania, Greece, where she played professional basketball for two years. She later returned to the U.S. and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical University in New York in 2024.
With her diverse background in sports and rehabilitation, she employs a variety of techniques tailored to the unique needs of each patient, including:
- Dry needling
- Joint Mobilizations
- Cupping
- Massage (hand & instrument assisted)
- Muscle Energy Techniques
- Patient Educations
Since earning her doctorate, Miranda has worked across a broad spectrum of fields, including sports rehabilitation, orthopedic care, pain management, and post-surgical recovery.
As a “retired” athlete, she understands firsthand how frustrating it can be to be sidelined by an injury or pain, preventing one from doing the things they love. Whether it’s playing a sport, staying active, or simply enjoying everyday activities, she recognizes how much it can impact a person’s quality of life. Her goal is to help patients return to what matters most to them, whether that means getting back to their favorite sport or simply moving freely and pain-free in their daily routine.
Outside of her professional work, Miranda is passionate about long-distance running, playing pick-up basketball, enjoying pickleball, golfing, and spending time with her two orange kitties.
